Razali Design & Co. was founded by Razali May, owner and curator of Gallery 8, an established contemporary Art Gallery on Salt Spring Island. He educated himself in the fine art of being a gallerist, through his persistence, passion and belief in excellent customer service and relations.
Razali has always had an affinity for the field of Interior Design. He is confident that the skills he has acquired in the Fine Arts, will serve him well in addressing his clients design needs. He welcomes all those who wish to consult with him for their interior design concerns, or fine art selections. He willingly accepts projects big or small, with his main concern being the happiness and satisfaction of his clients.
With an International profile, living and travelling abroad, Razali’s style is a seamless blend of Asian, European, and American Modernism. Always fresh, always evolving and underscored by the belief, that everyone should live with the art and design that brings them the highest level of enjoyment and wellbeing. He thoroughly enjoys the relationships that develop as he works with his clients. He is always upbeat and easy to get along with, throughout the many decisions necessary for complete satisfaction with their project.
He is originally from Malaysia and has lived in North America for the last 22 years. Previous to his life in the Arts, he was trained and worked as an Engineer in the U.S., which provided him with the stellar work ethic that forms his business practices today.
Razali has fostered a keen appreciation of the past with a youthful exuberance for the current trends and modes of expression, through the ownership of Gallery 8 and his accumulated experience in the Fine Arts in general. Whether designing his own collection, or manifesting the interiors he creates for his clients, a deep respect for tradition, viewed through a modern eye, is ever present.
